Monkey Island esque feel to it

I liked it because it reminded me of old amiga games. I loved the soft horn or violin playingm sound at around 0:40. That was lovely. What program did you use to make this?

The only criticism I would make is that, for me personnally it didn't pick me up and throw me into the sun. Apart from that, pree-teh preeteh preeteh good

Cartoon Sinister!!

Those are the two words that come up in my head. It's like that Harry's new tux, how the tone suddenly changes when he is dying on the spiky fence. This piece seems to make light of the situation, which I like.

However, the piece sounds a tad too crisp and a bit too...whats the word...leveled off, for my taste?! But still very good job! I'm impressed.

How divine!

What programs/instruments did you use for this?

I enjoyed this a lot! I found it atmospheric, immersive. A tad typical, but that's not a bad thing. Nice one!

This was done with a glass, a guitar and audacity, and that is all. Im glad you liked it :)

Oh albeit this is divine!

I love this, i mean it's typically ambient but it's not a bad hting in this case. It carries itself oh-so-well, and therefore it carries me. It has that lovely artistic hindrance which is immersion! I love the echoy glockenspiel noises as well. What program did you use for this? Nice one!!

Fantastic!

What brilliant sound quality. And is that you on piano and guitar? What a talented young fellow you are! Very pretty piece. Well done! :D

tilman responds:

aaahhh stop it handsome! :D but seriously now, i try to actually "play" anything that's lying around ma place n is recordable through a microphone ...
which is mostly acoustic and electric guitar and some percussive elements :)

all of the other stuff is handled by a midi-keyboard and a particular plugin, such as piano, bass and potential effects. but even those are still "played" on the keyboard, so i can keep it as natural as possible.
also hate quantizing stuff.
i know it often sounds out of place .. but i just like it raw :D
omg! you weren't asking any of this crap. lolz!

Excellent!

The quality of this piece is immense. Is that you playing the guitar? It's very very good. I thought at points this is a bit too much of a typical ambient piece, but I think it slips by because of the sheer crispness of it. Ace work :D

tilman responds:

jap - that's me pickin em strings! :D thanks a lot for your review!
i'll also have a look at your stuff right away :)

Very impressed

Didn't find the lyrics original in the slightest and the rappers voice was just arbitrary. I really liked music though and how it all intertwined was quite pretty. I'm very impressed :D
